报告摘要:

  The heterostructure with a topological material and a superconductor has attracted broad interest previously. An effective pairing term will be generally induced to the surface of the topological material through the proximity effect, providing a feasible method to realize the Majorana zero modes. High-Tc superconductors have a higher superconducting transition temperature and larger pairing gap in comparison with conventional superconductors. It is natural to make use of high-Tc superconductors to construct the heterostructure. And recently it was proposed that the higher order topology can be realized with the high-Tc superconductor heterostructures. In the present work, we study several different heterostructures with the high-Tc superconductor platform, including the two-dimensional Chern insulator coupled with a cuprate material, the two-dimensional topological insulator coupled with a cuprate material, and the three-dimensional topological insulator coupled with an iron-based superconductor. We propose that the topological nature of the heterostructures may be used to study the physical properties of the high-Tc superconducting materials, providing more insight for the mechanism of the high-Tc superconductors. The higher order topology in these systems are also discussed theoretically. Moreover, starting from the microscopic model, the band mixing effect and the symmetry breaking in some heterostructures are discussed. 

报告人简介:

  周涛,目前为华南师范大学教授,博士生导师。周涛教授2001年和2006年在南京大学物理系分别获得学士和博士学位,之后先后在香港大学,香港浸会大学,和美国休斯顿大学从事博士后研究工作,2010年到南京航空航天大学理学院应用物理系工作,2018年1月起到华南师范大学物理与电信工程学院工作,曾获得江苏省青蓝工程优秀青年骨干教师称号和教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划资助。主持并结题国家自然科学基金两项,在研国家自然科学基金一项。目前主要从事超导体物理性质的理论研究,在Physical Review Letters, Physical Review B等权威期刊上发表论文30余篇。
